Having the kids over for Sunday family dinner is something we always look forward to. It’ a time we can catch up on their week at college or work and and celebrate any accomplishments big or small. This week we will be raising our glasses to our son who just signed a letter of commitment to a Division II college baseball team for his Junior and Senior year. Since he has been 6 yrs. old, he has played baseball and we are truly proud of his accomplishments. We also have a daughter who came down from Kentucky with her College dance team to compete in the NDA Nationals this weekend. They made it to the finals and again we are so happy for her success and although she is On her way back to Kentucky and can’t be here for Sunday family dinner, we will celebrate afar!
I am trying Gluten Free Texas Chili for Sunday family Dinner. It’s not only gluten free but there is no MSG and it has low sodium in the seasoning. For the first time ever, I am trying Victoria Taylor’s Texas Chili seasonings. You can go to her website here to check out all her seasonings and recipes.
Chili is so simple to make and yet such a comforting food. You can add just a salad or any sandwich and it will make a complete meal. We usually will set out fresh vegetables and dip out on the table before so they can have a crunchy and healthy snack without getting to full.
Here is the Texas Chili seasoning packet that I purchased at Fresh Market grocery store.
Let this simmer another 15 minutes and you are ready to serve. This makes a large batch so if you have left overs you can freeze it. Serve with your favorite toppings like cheddar cheese, sour cream and tortilla chips or the kids like to top it off with Fritos sometimes. Enjoy and let me know how you like this seasoning.
