OK, I admit it. As much as I love Florida, I am missing the cooler fall weather wearing long sweaters, boots and scarves. 74 degrees is my perfect temperature and Dean will often remind me that we could wake up every morning to temperatures like that in California. He MUST love me, being such an outdoors guy, to up and move from Los Angeles to this lovely heat & humidity. I keep telling him to hang in there, only a few more weeks of this then we can enjoy the windows and doors open, a fire in the fireplace and our favorite chili recipe on the stove.
Did you all know there is an International Chili Association? Say what? Yea, there happens to be a lot of controversy over where the original chili recipe originated from. The Texans say Texas and New Mexico, California and even Mexico hold strong to their claims. I was surprised that according to Chili Cookoff some of the first claimed chili recipes didn’t have any beans. Where’s the BEAN? Well, whoever and however, I am glad it got added to all the beef and chili peppers from the good ol’ southwest.
